Day 1
Demre to Kapakli
Today, you’ll hike 7 kilometers from Demre to Kapaklı. Before you set out, you have the option to visit the ancient city of Myra, where you’ll walk among impressive Lycian rock tombs and a grand Roman theatre that echoes with centuries of history.
The hike along the coastal path is relatively easy, with a few gentle climbs and descents.

About halfway through, you’ll reach a quiet pebble beach, the perfect spot to pause for lunch, dip your feet in the sea, or enjoy a swim in the clear water.

You’ll also have the chance to paddle a self-guided canoe up a quiet creek and spot giant turtles along the way.
Day 2
Kapaklı to Kaleüçağız
Today, you’ll enjoy a gentle 11 km hike from Kapaklı to Kaleüçağız, with no major elevation changes. Along the way, you’ll pass through quiet landscapes dotted with Lycian sarcophagi, reminders of the ancient world nestled among olive groves and wildflowers.

You’ll arrive in the peaceful harbor town of Kaleüçağız before the next highlight of the day: at 15:00, you’ll set off on a private boat tour to explore the sunken city of Kekova—a fascinating Lycian-Roman settlement partially submerged after an ancient earthquake. The tour includes a swimming stop in a beautiful bay, where you can cool off in crystal-clear waters before returning to shore.
Day 3
Kaleucagiz to Bogazcik
Today’s hike takes you from the quiet coastal village of Kaleüçağız to Boğazcık, covering about 15 kilometers through classic Lycian landscapes. You’ll walk along peaceful trails lined with olive trees, with panoramic sea views and stretches of untouched nature.

Along the way, you’ll pass the ancient ruins of Apollonia and Aperlae, where crumbling stone walls and tombs tell stories of the Lycian past, set against the backdrop of the shimmering Mediterranean.

The hike ends in the small village of Boğazcık, where a vehicle will be waiting to take you to Kaş—a charming coastal town where you can relax and unwind after your walk.
Day 4
Kas - Sleeping Giant
Today, you’ll set out on a 7-kilometer out-and-back hike from Kaş to the Sleeping Giant viewpoint—a rock formation resembling a giant lying peacefully by the sea. The trail climbs gently above the coast, offering beautiful views over the turquoise bay and the town of Kaş below.

The hike takes 2 to 3 hours round-trip, making it a perfect half-day adventure that leaves you plenty of free time to enjoy the rest of the day.

After your walk, you can hop on a local minibus to visit the famous Kaputaş Beach, known for its dramatic setting and crystal-clear waters. Or simply stay in Kaş and wander its lively streets, full of cafés, artisan shops, and relaxed Mediterranean charm.
Day 5
Üzüm İskelesi to Kaş
This stretch of the hike offers stunning sea views throughout and a total ascent of 450 meters. You’ll follow rocky trails with the turquoise sea always in sight. There’s even a chance to take a refreshing swim at a wild, secluded spot — perfect for those up for a bit of adventure.

You have two route options:
1️⃣ Hike + Boat (9 km): hike along the rugged coastline, then take a short boat ride into Kaş — a relaxed way to finish the journey while skipping the final urban section.

2️⃣ Full Hike (13 km): Walk the full 13 km all the way to Kaş. This option takes you into town on foot, offering a satisfying conclusion to your trek.
Day 6
Transfer pickup
Your day begins with a pick-up at 9:00 AM from your hotel in Kaş. After approximately 1hr. 20m. drive, you’ll arrive at the trailhead, ready to start your adventure.
Today’s hike takes you deep into the heart of ancient Lycia, with a choice of 14 or 21 kilometers. You’ll climb steadily for 350 meters before descending 650, following winding forest trails and panoramic ridgelines.

Midway, the path leads you to Sidyma — a forgotten city tucked into the foothills, where stone sarcophagi rest among olive trees.

Upgrading your accommodation is recommended if you plan to take the coastal path the following day, as the upgraded option is more conveniently located near the trailhead.
If you choose the default accommodation, you can either hike back 2.5 km to rejoin the trail or take a short transfer from the hotel in the morning.
Day 7
Alınca to Kabak Village
There are two main route options to suit your pace and preference:
  • The easier mountain route (9 km) follows a gentler path inland, with stunning views of the coastline from above and the chance to take a detour for a refreshing waterfall visit.
  • The coastal route (also 9 km) is more challenging, with steep descents and rocky sections, but it rewards you with access to three secluded beaches along the way—perfect for a dip and a rest in the shade of the pines.

For the adventurous, there’s a third option: a 15 km combination of both trails, giving you the best of both worlds—mountain views, hidden beaches, and a rich variety of terrain all in one unforgettable day.
Day 8
Kabak to Ölüdeniz
The trail takes you from the peaceful Kabak village to the famous Ölüdeniz Beach, covering up to 17 kilometres with a total ascent of 700 meters. You will pass village of Faralya, then hike towards Babadağ Mountain. From high above, you’ll get unforgettable panoramic views of Ölüdeniz Lagoon—a picture-perfect reward before descending to the beach below.

For those who prefer a shorter hike, there is an option to reduce the distance to around 9 km, by arranging a taxi a bit further. Whether you take on the full challenge or opt for a more relaxed version, today’s hike promises one of the most scenic days on the trail.
As you arrive in Oludeniz, your hike comes to a peaceful and memorable finish — the perfect end to a truly special adventure along the Lycian Way.
If you’re not staying in Ölüdeniz after the tour, our transfer will take you to central Fethiye, either to your hotel or the main bus station, depending on your onward plans. If you’d prefer a direct transfer to the airport, just let us know—we’ll be happy to arrange it for you.
