Itinerary
Arrival to the starting point
The tour starts in Kalkan.

Choose your airport of arrival:
  • From Dalaman Airport, it’s about 2.5 hours to Kalkan.
  • From Antalya Airport, travel time is approximately 4.5 hours.

We’ll provide you with detailed instructions for reaching your starting point via public transportation. If you prefer a more comfortable journey, we’re happy to arrange a private transfer from either airport straight to your chosen starting location.
Day 1
Kalkan to Gelemiş
Today is a12-kilometer hike with 200 meters of ascent and descent.

The trail begins on a rocky path leading you to the impressive Delikkemer Aqueduct—a marvel of Roman engineering once used to supply water to Patara. From here, the path softens as you descend toward the coastal plains.

You’ll walk through the vast and atmospheric ruins of the ancient city of Patara, once a major Lycian port and home to a grand theatre, monumental arch, and crumbling colonnaded streets. After exploring the ancient site, you’ll have the chance to visit nearby Patara Beach, known for its expansive sandy shoreline and dunes. From the beach, it’s a 3-km walk back to Gelemiş village, where you’ll finish your hike.
Day 2
Transfer pickup
To make the most of your day and skip the less scenic section through Patara village, which is lined with greenhouses, we’ll arrange a transfer from your hotel at 9:00 AM. This will take you directly to the more picturesque starting point of the trail, so you can begin your hike with beautiful views right from the start.
Karadere to Gey Village
Today’s route takes you 14 kilometers from Karadere to Gey, with a total ascent of 700 meters. The trail climbs steadily through pine forests and open hillsides, rewarding you with breathtaking sea views to your left for much of the way. As you gain elevation, the coastline stretches out below—remote, wild, and unforgettable.

The path is a mix of rugged tracks and peaceful mountain trails, leading you into the quiet village of Gey, perched high above the sea. For those looking to end the day in style, there’s an option to upgrade to a boutique hotel with panoramic sea views—the perfect reward after a day on the trail.
Day 3
Gey to Alinca
14-kilometer hike with an ascent of 350 meters and a descent of 650 meters. Along the way, you’ll visit the ancient city of Sidyma, nestled in the foothills. Once an important Lycian settlement, Sidyma offers a peaceful and atmospheric stop with its scattered sarcophagi and overgrown ruins—perfect for a break and a quiet walk through history.

Upgrading your accommodation for this night is recommended if you plan to take the coastal path the following day, as the upgraded option is more conveniently located near the trailhead.

If you choose the default accommodation, you can either hike back 2.5 km to rejoin the trail or take a short transfer from the hotel in the morning.
Day 4
Alınca to Kabak Village
There are two main route options to suit your pace and preference:
  • The easier mountain route (9 km) follows a gentler path inland, with stunning views of the coastline from above and the chance to take a detour for a refreshing waterfall visit.
  • The coastal route (also 9 km) is more challenging, with steep descents and rocky sections, but it rewards you with access to three secluded beaches along the way—perfect for a dip and a rest in the shade of the pines.

For the adventurous, there’s a third option: a 15 km combination of both trails, giving you the best of both worlds—mountain views, hidden beaches, and a rich variety of terrain all in one unforgettable day.
Day 5
Kabak to Ölüdeniz
The trail takes you from the peaceful Kabak village to the famous Ölüdeniz Beach, covering up to 17 kilometres with a total ascent of 700 meters. You will pass village of Faralya, then hike towards Babadağ Mountain. From high above, you’ll get unforgettable panoramic views of Ölüdeniz Lagoon—a picture-perfect reward before descending to the beach below.

For those who prefer a shorter hike, there is an option to reduce the distance to around 9 km, by arranging a taxi a bit further. Whether you take on the full challenge or opt for a more relaxed version, today’s hike promises one of the most scenic days on the trail.
Day 6
Start the day with a transfer to Kayaköy, an abandoned Ancient Greek village, where you can explore its intriguing ruins. From there, enjoy a scenic 7-kilometer hike leading to a quiet beach, ideal for a short break.

After the hike, the tour concludes. Feel free to spend extra time in Ölüdeniz, enjoying optional activities in Ölüdeniz: paragliding, a cable car ride to Babadağ’s summit, or a boat trip to Butterfly Valley.

If you’re not staying in Ölüdeniz after the tour, our transfer will take you to central Fethiye, either to your hotel or the main bus station, depending on your onward plans. If you’d prefer a direct transfer to the airport, just let us know—we’ll be happy to arrange it for you.
