%%Day%%
Kuzdere to Beycik The driver will pick you up at 8:30 am from your hotel in Antalya and take you to the trail (1.20m ride).
Today’s Hiking Options:
1️⃣ Full Hike: Yaylakuzdere to Beycik, with an optional Tahtali summit - 12km (950m ascent/descent) or 18km (1450m ascent/descent).
2️⃣ Cable Car + Hike: Transfer to the cable car ($20 USD one-way) to reach the summit, then descend - 9km (1500m descent).
Your second day promises a diverse and exciting journey. The first 8 kilometers take you along a gentle unpaved road or comfortable trail. The trail then becomes more rugged, offering more challenging terrain. Along the way, you’ll pass fascinating ruins and the famous Mount Chimera, where eternal flames rise mysteriously from the ground - an unforgettable sight.
The hike ends in the picturesque seaside town of Çıralı.
If you wish, you can incorporate a rest day into your itinerary and spend it relaxing on the beautiful Çıralı beach. Alternatively, you can enjoy a 9 km (+450 m / –450 m) coastal hike from Çıralı toward Tekirova. This scenic route winds through fragrant pine forests, offering stunning sea views and access to secluded beaches along the way.
If you would like to include this rest day, please let us know, and we will advise you of the final cost of the hike with the extra overnight stay.
Today is 15-kilometer hike that takes you through lush forested paths, offering a mix of shade and tranquility as you ascend and descend 850m. Along the way, you’ll pass the ancient city of Olympos, a fascinating Lycian site nestled in a lush valley, where you can take time to explore its ruins and immerse yourself in history.
The trail continues with stunning views and varied terrain, eventually leading you to the village of Adrasan.
Today is a challenging 20-kilometer route (800m total ascent and descent) with breathtaking sea views at every turn. The highlight of the day is passing the iconic Gelidonya Lighthouse, perched high above the turquoise waters.
The trail winds through coastal landscapes and rugged terrain. The hike concludes in the peaceful village of Karaöz.
From Karaöz, a transfer will take you to Demre, to continue the hike on the Central Lycian Way.
It is possible to split next day into two shorter hiking days. On the first day you will hike 7 km, and on the following day you will hike 11 km.
We do not recommend taking a full rest day in Demre, as there is not much to do there. With this split-day option, however, you will still have plenty of time to visit the museums in Demre, enjoy a short 3-hour hike with a beautiful secluded beach along the way, and stay in a lovely accommodation with sea views and exceptional hospitality from our partner.
If you would like to choose this option, please let us know and we will provide more details.
Demre to Kaleucagiz Today, you’ll hike 15 kilometers (200m total ascents and descent) from Demre to Kaleucagiz. Before you set out, you have the option to visit the ancient city of Myra, where you’ll walk among impressive Lycian rock tombs and a grand Roman theatre that echoes with centuries of history. The hike along the coastal path is relatively easy, with a few gentle climbs and descents.
Shortly after the first third of the hike, you’ll reach a quiet pebble beach, the perfect spot to pause for lunch, dip your feet in the sea, or enjoy a swim in the clear water.
For a bit of extra adventure, you can paddle a self-guided canoe up a quiet creek and spot giant turtles along the way.
Kaleucagiz to Uzum Iskelesi Today, you’ll hike from Kaleüçağız to Üzüm İskelesi, with two route options depending on your pace and comfort level. 1️⃣ Hike + transfer: 15km hike (+420m, -120m) to the village of Boğazcık, followed by a 30-minute transfer to Üzüm İskelesi. This route offers a full day of walking without being too demanding. 2️⃣ Full hike: If you're an experienced hiker and comfortable around large shepherd dogs (often seen between Boğazcık and Üzüm İskelesi), you can take on the full 20 km (+460m, -410m) hike all the way to the coast.
Either way, you’ll pass the ruins of Apollonia and Aperlae, ancient Lycian cities surrounded by olive trees, sea views, and peaceful landscapes. It’s a day filled with history, nature, and the quiet beauty of the Mediterranean.
This stretch of the hike offers stunning sea views throughout and a total ascent and descent of 550m. You’ll follow rocky trails with the turquoise sea always in sight. There’s even a chance to take a refreshing swim at a wild, secluded spot - perfect for those up for a bit of adventure.
You have two route options: 1️⃣ Hike + Boat (9km, +290m, -290m): hike along the rugged coastline, then take a short boat ride into Kaş - a relaxed way to finish the journey while skipping the final urban section.
2️⃣ Full Hike (13km, +400m, -400m): Walk the full 13km all the way to Kaş. This option takes you into town on foot, offering a satisfying conclusion to your trek.
It is possible to add a rest day in Kaş. If you would like to include it, just let us know. During your rest day, you can explore Kaputaş Beach, enjoy the vibrant town, or take a short 3-hour hike if a full rest day doesn’t appeal to you.
If you’re interested in this option, simply let us know and we will provide the price for the additional night.
Transfer pickup Your day begins with a pick-up at 9:00 AM from your hotel in Kaş. After approximately 1hr. 20m. drive, you’ll arrive at the trailhead, ready to start your adventure.
Karadere to Gey Village Today’s route takes you 14 kilometers from Karadere to Gey, with a total ascent of 940 meters. The trail climbs steadily through pine forests and open hillsides, rewarding you with breathtaking sea views to your left for much of the way. As you gain elevation, the coastline stretches out below—remote, wild, and unforgettable.
The path is a mix of rugged tracks and peaceful mountain trails, leading you into the quiet village of Gey, perched high above the sea. For those looking to end the day in style, there’s an option to upgrade to a boutique hotel with panoramic sea views—the perfect reward after a day on the trail.
Gey to Alinca 14-kilometer hike with an ascent of 510 meters. Along the way, you’ll visit the ancient city of Sidyma, nestled in the foothills. Once an important Lycian settlement, Sidyma offers a peaceful and atmospheric stop with its scattered sarcophagi and overgrown ruins—perfect for a break and a quiet walk through history.
Upgrading your accommodation for this night is recommended if you plan to take the coastal path the following day, as the upgraded option is more conveniently located near the trailhead.
If you choose the default accommodation, you can either hike back 2.5 km to rejoin the trail or take a short transfer from the hotel in the morning.
Alınca to Kabak Village There are two main route options to suit your pace and preference:
The easier mountain route (9 km, +580 m, -820m) follows a gentler path inland, with stunning views of the coastline from above and the chance to take a detour for a refreshing waterfall visit.
The coastal route (also 9 km, +560 m, -820m) is more challenging, with steep descents and rocky sections, but it rewards you with access to three secluded beaches along the way—perfect for a dip and a rest in the shade of the pines.
For the adventurous, there’s a third option: a 15 km (+780 m, -1030m) combination of both trails, giving you the best of both worlds—mountain views, hidden beaches, and a rich variety of terrain all in one unforgettable day.
Kabak to Ölüdeniz The trail takes you from the peaceful Kabak village to the famous Ölüdeniz Beach, covering up to 17 kilometres (+940 m, -1180m). You will pass village of Faralya, then hike towards Babadağ Mountain. From high above, you’ll get unforgettable panoramic views of Ölüdeniz Lagoon—a picture-perfect reward before descending to the beach below.
For those who prefer a shorter hike, there is an option to reduce the distance to around 9 km, by arranging a taxi a bit further. Whether you take on the full challenge or opt for a more relaxed version, today’s hike promises one of the most scenic days on the trail.
As you arrive in Oludeniz, your hike comes to a peaceful and memorable finish — the perfect end to a truly special adventure along the Lycian Way. If you’re not staying in Ölüdeniz after the tour, our transfer will take you to central Fethiye, either to your hotel or the main bus station, depending on your onward plans.
Departure to the airport
Your final hike ends at approximately 5:00 p.m. or earlier if you choose the shortened option. From Ölüdeniz, you may depart from either Dalaman or Antalya airports:
Dalaman Airport: about 1.5 hours from Ölüdeniz by bus
Antalya Airport: about 4 hours from Ölüdeniz by bus
Because you will reach Dalaman Airport around 6:30–7:00 p.m., flights from Dalaman can be booked after 9:00 p.m. Flights from Antalya are not recommended on the same day. For a more relaxed travel experience, we suggest staying overnight in Oludeniz or Antalya and flying the next morning.

Reviews ❤️
Our self-guided hike on the Lycian Way was a fantastic adventure, with unique accommodations enhancing the experience. Elvira was always online to answer our questions, making the journey smooth. The route was perfectly balanced, offering options to adjust the difficulty to our preference.
Elvira put together a fantastic slightly customized tour for us due to a tike constraint. She is wonderfully knowledgeable and everything on the tour went perfectly. Loads of info and guidance ahead of time. The GPS app and markers. But the main thing for us was having Elvira on WhatsApp while we hiked just in case. She is like a safety blanket. Also, she is proactive is ensuring the little things like transfer arrangements go smoothly. Super helpful, and a joy to work with. And as for the actual hiking.......mind blown. It's breathtaking and highly recommended. The scenery, the food, the people. We fell in love with Turkiye, and this was due to the experience that Elvira cultivated for us. Go to Turkiye. Have Elvira guide you. Make lifetime memories. That's the formula.
For those who enjoy independent and in some places challenging hiking with stunning views, this is the hike for you. Each day was different and we were consistently met with delicious food and kind people at the end of the day. Elvira meticulously managed organizing transfers and accommodation on our behalf. Knowing she was available and "watching" over us each day was an added bonus.
Our 4-day self-guided hike on the Lycian Way was exceptional, thanks to Elvira’s flawless organization. Luggage transfers were seamless, and the cozy, welcoming hotels made for perfect rests. The stunning nature and a very effective offline map that Elvira provides ensured we enjoyed every step. Highly recommend Elvira for an unforgettable hiking adventure!
In early May, I had the best trekking tour along the Lycian Way in Turkey in terms of comfort and organization with Elvira. A thoughtful beautiful route, daily swimming in the sea, time to relax and sunbathe in the middle of trekking was very appreciated!
I liked the choice of hotels - everywhere the food was tasty and stay is comfortable. Clear arrival of all transfers - they came to the right point at any time - they immediately took us away. We did not waste our precious time waiting.
There were harder days, there was a 3-hour chill on a comfortable yacht at sunset, where there were even more sunbeds than the whole group, there were dinners in authentic Turkish cafes, there were snacks from what we took with us, everything was decided the day before and together.
I was very pleased with this freedom. You seem to be in a group, there seems to be a route, but there is a complete feeling that you can at least stay somewhere longer, eat where you want and whatever you want, no one drives you, a real vacation.
Elvira is an open, positive person, an excellent tour guide, with such a guide you can go anywhere) the feeling that a good friend has come up with a trip to the most beautiful, proven, delicious places for you. Thank you for this wonderful vacation!
